PRP
Harness Your Body’s Power to Heal and Rejuvenate Naturally

PROCEDURE FOR PRP
PRP therapy, or full Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, is a relatively new concept which can be defined as introducing certain components of blood into the area of interest for treating injuries and for aesthetic purposes. PRP consists of a high concentration of platelets suspended in plasma and is abundant in growth factors and proteins that support tissue repair, cellular growth, and natural healing mechanisms. This tissue-grafting technique has become common practice in both medical and surgical as well as esthetic spaces to treat or improve.

The blood collected is placed inside a centrifuge, which is a device which spins the blood at high speed to separate its components.
PREPARATION OF TREATMENT AREA
One may be given a local anesthetic to reduce the pain the person may feel during the procedure of anesthetic injections.
INJECTION OF PRP
PRP is thoroughly inserted through vast mechanisms within small spring out needles on to the particular site which is to be treated.

Post-Procedure Care

Avoid Touching the Treated Area
There should be no touching, scrubbing or even pressing of that area for a minimum of 8 to 12 hours to prevent further complications like irritation or contamination.

No Washing
24-hours post-therapy, avoid washing any treated areas (ex: scalp, face, joints). This enables complete integration of the PRP with the tissues.

Avoid Direct Sunlight
Refrain from direct sunlight for 48 hours post-treatment if PRP was administered to your face or scalp. Wear a hat or apply sunscreen if avoiding the sun is unattainable.
